So, I had wanted to post this in time for Mother’s Day, but in true Mom fashion, I was too busy doing mom things last week to get around to it. When it comes to motherhood, I take a humorous approach rather than the emotional route, because if I start being sincere and get emotional, I might cry and I’d honestly rather get diarrhea in front of you than cry in front of you. I do find motherhood magical and awesome, but it’s also frustrating and exhausting, and it’s best to laugh when it gets like that, so I collected these memes that I find humorous truth in. Without further ado, here it is, three days late, with a side-order of guilt, just like Mom makes. Take it or leave it, you ungrateful jerks.
When my kids ask me a question I already answered:
When I say it’s time to clean up:
Two hours after I said it was time to clean up:
When it’s time for *me* to clean up:
When I feel like giving up:
When it’s bed time:
When they say something adorably wrong:
When it’s long past time to crib train:
When I have to explain the mess to visitors:
When dad has to change the diaper:
When everyone at H-E-B is staring at my screaming kid:
When I’m teaching them how to help with chores:
When I think about their futures:
When we’re running late:
When I ask them to clean up their own crap:
When another mom is less than chipper:
When they refuse to eat dinner, or lunch, or anything other than chicken nuggets for the love of God:
When they complain about being bored:
When someone rings the damn doorbell at nap time:
When it’s an hour past bedtime and a little head peeps around the door frame:
I hope everyone had a fabulous and restful Mother’s Day!
